E-Bots Class Set Up

COVID-19 IN FACILITY PROCEDURES

Please click open the steps below.

COVID19 Screening Process

We are no longer requiring a covid screen or masking before your student enters the building, It is your choice to send your student masked for their class, or not. They will not be masked alone, as some teachers will still be masked. We have sanitizer at the front doorway and in class rooms.

We respect your own personal choices.

You still have a responsibility to NOT send your child to us with any covid symptoms!

We also reserve the right to revisit this decision and reverse it if we feel as a small business, in a small space, that it is necessary.

Our Facility

For those of you who may be returning since March 2020, we have moved, twice during the pandemic.

School Year Program Arrival & Departures

Arrivals

Students may enter the building 10 mins before the start of their class. They will not be permitted earlier than that.

On the first day only, for *NEW WeeBots parents and Robot 1 classes, parents may come into the classroom when dropping your student off so you may see where they will be during class time.

We are not responsible for children that are left outside to wait for the doors to open.

If it is wet out, or snowy outside, please send your student in with an extra set of shoes/slippers.

Students may if they want, use the sterilizer provided at the front door when they arrive.

Instructions for washroom procedures will be provided by the teacher when they start their first class.

Departures

Our facility is very small and we are still trying to limit the number of people inside to reduce any possible COVID/FLU transmissions.

Parents are welcome to pick up their student from inside the facility however we do not have space for you to sit and wait, you will be standing in a fairly small space which is only convenient for a short period of time.

On Week 5 & Week 10 (which will be outlined by the teacher) Parents will be permitted to join the students 10 mins before the end of class to share what has been accomplished to that point. This is an opportune time for students as they will have loads to share with you by then and the teachers will have a better awareness of your student’s journey.

There will be a reminder given for this.  Parents who arrive late for this opportunity, may not be admitted, as we have to turn over the rooms for the next classes.

Please pick up your student within 15 minutes of the end of their class. We will never leave students without supervision. However, if you’re after the 15 mins, compensation for the teacher may need to be discussed.

The traffic on the QEW is very unpredictable. Please text or what’s app the office phone number, if you want to let us know you are going to be very late at 905-923-3268.

NO emails please, as they won’t be seen earlier enough.

Departures

Our facility is very small and may not hold the number of parents picking up for you to wait inside, as you will be standing in a fairly small space which is only convenient for a short period of time. We ask instead that you wait in your car outside until you see a teacher at the front door who will have brought your student to the front for pickup.

Hygiene

Hand sanitizer is provided at the front door and within the classrooms.

Washrooms will be checked before classes to ensure that adequate supplies are available to perform hand hygiene.

Paper hand towels are available for drying and a no-touch waste receptacle is available for disposal of materials.

Students will only be allowed to the washroom one at a time, and the classroom is close enough to make sure that there is no student overlap.

Lunch & Snack Time

During seasonal classes, fall, winter, spring, the classes are not long enough that a snack should be required

However, students are welcome to bring in water bottles, just make sure that they have their name on them.

FULL DAY SUMMER CAMP; There are two snack breaks and a lunch break. We do have the ability to heat food up for the students but pelase don’t send anything that needs to be refridgerated. Please no nuts.

HALF DAY SUMMER CAMP; Students get a snack break. Please no nuts.

In the Event of Illness

Our classes build on students learning, from week to week. If your student misses a class, that is your responsibility.  Our responsibility will be that every class will begin with a review from the week before. There are no make-up classes.

Your students’ learning will be more successful with attended classes; absenteeism may affect your student moving on to the next level.

If a student or staff member becomes sick while in the facility, they will be isolated and family members/emergency contacts messaged for pick-up.

Please, please do NOT send your student to us if they are exhibiting ANY covid/flu symptoms. NO matter how trivial it may seem. We want to keep our facility safe for all to attend.
